Mount View International has four houses namely , Chipembere (Red house), Nswala (Yellow House), Mbidzi (Blue House), Njobvu ( Green House). The houses will through the terms be involved in charity activities that will aim at raising funds that will help in reaching out to the needs of the community that surrounds us. So far the houses have joined efforts with other charity organisations like, Tiyamike Sewing, BSPCA, TREEZ, Maone Orphanage and Amitofo Centre. Some of these charity organisations have been to Mount View to give a talk on what they do and how they can work better with Mount View in achieving their objectives.

BSPA TALKING TO NSWALA HOUSE

The BSPCA was established in 1979 by a small group of committed and passionate animal lovers. The Society was officially registered by the Bahrain Ministry of Labour as a humane, charitable, non-profit organisation dedicated to the welfare of animals.
The Society is run by a dedicated group of volunteers and receives no official funding whatsoever. The Society depends on the generosity of the public for its funds as well as monies generated by the Thrift Shop.
The BSPCA is an Affiliate Member of the RSPCA, which officially recognises our organisation and the work that it carries out. The Society does not receive funding from the RSPCA, nor any other animal welfare group.
Operating as a charity, it is regulated by the Ministry of Social Development under the auspices of the Non-Government Organisations department. It does not receive funding from the government.

TIYAMIKE SEWING TALKS TO MBIDZI HOUSE

TIYAMIKE SEWING is a non-profit Christian charity that aims to demonstrate the love of God through empowering women from low-income families with sewing skills to increase their capacity to better provide for their families. Each of the participants in their program graduate with a sewing machine so they can begin their own business.

TIYAMIKE SEWING began with their first class of nine women in 2014. Nine women who were struggling to make ends meet for their families and keen to learn a new skill so they can generate more income. Under the direction of a missionary from Australia and the instruction of a skilled tailor, these women attended classes for nine months as they learned the basics of sewing. In June 2015, they had a gathering to celebrate the hard work of these nine women as they graduated from their program and went home with their very own sewing machines to begin their own tailoring business from home.

TREEZ TALK TO NJOBVU HOUSE

Treez is a Zomba based charity organisation aimed at protecting forests and other natural resources from human activities that can endanger them.

Due to the increase in population and the need for woodfuel for cooking and heating, Malawi has lost 85% of its trees in the last 20 years, and as the graph shows: at current rates of population growth and deforestation, by 2025 the country will no longer have enough biomass to sustain the population.

Zomba TREEZ aims to mitigate the damage caused by the loss of the biomass and help reduce the effects of climate change in the Zomba area. Through raising awareness, tree planting, promotion of natural regeneration and fire prevention we aim to increase water retention, reduce soil erosion, provide clean air and water, and protect and preserve Malawi’s biodiversity.
